'Doe's Mother' Oil pastel on paper 27" x 33" Currently in private collection. This portrait was a bit of a challenge as I had one photograph to work with that was over 25 years old. The photo had sustained some water damage and was a bit difficult to see but I managed okay. When Docia (or Doe) saw the finished portrait she had tears in her eyes. She said she was seeing her Mother clearly again for the first time in a very long time. |
