The Bacon Series

The inspiration for The Bacon Series started when I rekindled my love affair with Francis Bacon's painting 'Study after Velazquez's Portrait of Pope Innocent X', c.1953. In it, Bacon perfectly interpret's the sinister undertones of Velazquez's original 'Portrait of Innocent X', c.1650.
That inspiational vehicle allowed me to jump start this series which focuses on some of our modern day money holders, policy makers and power-brokers who may or may not be what they want to present as.
